This was a wedding gift
for a couple of friends
(guess their names). I
decided to take a break
from the black velvet,
and examine a couple
of other ideas.
I wanted work on a
fabric other than velvet,
using the pattern of the
fabric to comment on
or compliment the
subject matter. I also
wanted to tackle a new
painting style, one
reminiscent of pulp
magazine covers, or
B movie posters. I plan
to more work in this vein. |
